Performance appraisal is an important part of skill development for this team. Team members view the appraisal system as positive and developmental in nature. Team members are involved in the process and feel it is fair and valuable.

Trust and Cooperation with team 4.04
This team shows a high degree of trust and cooperation. Team members show skill in giving and receiving feedback. They also take a good deal of care in orienting and training new employees.

Decision Making and Problem Solving 4.02
Problem solving is a hallmark of this team. They take pride in their ability to analyze and solve difficult problems. The team most often stays focused on solutions and rarely gets into blaming or finger pointing. This team knows how to plan and execute. They put a good deal of effort into planning their work and coordinating activities to make every move count. They rarely duplicate effort and work hard to improve processes and efficiency. Team meetings are probably very effective with careful planning and coordination.

Team members appreciate the coaching approach of the manager and are not afraid or intimidated by feedback from the manager or other team members. The team has a good deal of faith in management and leadership. Team members tend to believe what management says and trust the data that management gives the team. They see managers as good role models and team players. Upward and downward communication is effective between the team and management. Management is seen as effective listeners and responsive to the needs of the team.

Goals and measurements are the foundation of this team. They live and breathe goals and feel pride in their accomplishments. This team probably meets most if not all of its goals and often sets very high standards for itself. Management seems to involve the team a great deal in setting and measuring goals. The team is probably a true "high performance work team."
